Not registered to vote? Not a problem!
Minnesota offers same-day voter registration. If you're new to town or a student at the U or Augsburg, this is your city and your voice counts! A valid state ID or even a friend from your precinct who’s already registered to vote may be all you need to register. Many college students can register at their polling location with just a student ID. Learn more about same-day registration requirements on the Secretary of State website.
You are eligible to vote if you are a U.S. citizen 18 years or older, and have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days. For full eligibility requirements, see here.
Voter Guide
Minneapolis uses ranked choice voting, which allows you to rank up to three candidates for each elected office. This is great for democracy because you can vote your conscience without worrying as much about which candidates are most likely to win. You should rank all candidates that you support, but you don’t have to fill in all your rankings.
Here is Robin’s voter guide for questions that will be on the ballot in Ward 2 this year. You should always do your research and vote your own values and priorities, but Robin is excited to support these candidates who share her vision for a Minneapolis where working people from diverse backgrounds can thrive.
